Amazon Adventure

Have you ever wanted to walk among beautiful birds and have them perch on your arms and eat right out of your hand? Beginning early May, the sun conures, colorful Brazilian parrots will be making their debut in this interactive nose-to-beak encounter.

Have you ever had Breakfast with the Birds? Enjoy a catered breakfast outside in our peacful surroundings while supporting Tracy Aviary's annual spring fundraiser. Members-Only Eagle Exhibits Preview

Join Roger Sweeney Tracy Aviary's new curator to learn about the the new bald eagle and golden eagle exhibits and about these amazing birds. Snacks and Refreshments provided.
Urban Birding Festival
Saturday (May 10)
Bird Shows at 11 am and 2 pm
The Urban Birding Festival is a fun-filled day of engaging and entertaining, activities, focusing on simple “how to” hints for birding in your own “backyard”. Did you know that living in the Salt Lake Valley means your “backyard” includes some of the best birding spots in North America?
Partnering organizations will host interactive activities, talks, and walks sharing easy ways to get started birding right in your own neighborhood. Anybody can do it!
These terrific partners include Great Salt Lake Audubon, Hawkwatch, The Nature Conservancy, Friends of Great Salt Lake, Ogden Nature Center, Utah Ornithological Society, Layton, Wild Bird Center, and the Division of Wildlife Resources.
Bird Shows will be at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, Pelican Encounter at 1:00 pm and the bird trainers will be out and about showcasing the bird show stars throughout the day. All Urban Birding activities included with regular price of admission.
The Pelican Encounter
Everyday (Closed Christmas) (January 1 - December 31)
Daily at 1pm
Daily at 1pm guests will be able to enjoy Pelican Encounters at Tracy Aviary. Stand side by side with a keeper and feed our flock of magnificent pelicans for just $2!
Avian Idol and Aviators...Superheroes of the Sky
Tuesdays through Sundays (May 24 - September 1)
11:00 AM and 2:00 PM
Opening Memorial Day weekend!! Come to the bird show arena to witness the amazing talents of our feathered friends. It's an up-close encounter with a whole cast of characters. Some birds fly right over the heads of the audience, while others hop from branch to branch. Two different shows starring a different cast of characters. Both shows free with the price of admission!
